Hmmm, no change today, how unexciting.
After the usual shopping trip, I headed out with a vague plan in mind. By the time I got to Newcastle, I’d completely changed it for a different plan, which again changed on the way. I bought a train ticket to Middlesbrough, with the intention of going there, and making my way back to Stockton or thereabouts to look at a bridge.
While I was waiting for my train, this appeared:

On the way, I decided it would make more sense to get off the train at Thornaby and walk along the river a bit. So I did that, and ended up walking all the way to Middlesbrough, which involved seeing lots of bridges, some other stuff and wearing my feet out, to the point that even though there was an hour before the next direct train home, I just sat down at the station and waited rather than wandering further. More pictures tomorrow when I’ve had a chance to look through them, but for now here’s the map of my walk:
