Oh good, down a bit today. I’m taking a couple of days off work, so there was a slightly different pattern to today. After a relaxed early part of the morning, I had a dental appointment (what fun!), then popped into Tesco’s to buy some bits and pieces. Came home, had a light lunch (scrambled eggs on toast with my secret ingredient). Did a bit if stuff, assisted with something work related, then took myself out for a walk.
My aim was to visit the Angel of the North, as I haven’t been for a while. I’d just got to Low Fell when a bit of drizzly rain started. It didn’t look like it was going to come to much, so I carried on. I’d just got to a side road, with the intention of getting a landscapey-type thing of some hills, when it actually started to rain properly. Enough to make me put the camera back in the bag and get the jacket that I’d earlier taken off out of the bag. I waited under a bit of shelter for a couple of minutes, as I soon realised that there was just one nasty black cloud, and once that passed, the rain went away.
I carried on to the Angel, where I started taking some photos. I’ve got a selection that I like, but here are some samples for now. Here’s a fisheye view:
Here’s a close-up of the Angel’s head:
And here’s the ubiquitous wide view to get the whole thing in frame.
And finally, here’s the walk:

Oh bother, it’s not a secret now
