OK, today’s weight figure is most definitely a temporary blip, what with it having been recorded just after I got home from a day out in York.

Yes, all six surviving A4 engines are gathered in the Great Hall of the National Railway Museum in York. Loads of people were there with the same aim as me, so most of my photos from the hall are a bit full of people, but never mind.
After a bit more looking around the museum, I had a wander around York. More of the photos from that will follow later. I ended up having quite a long walk, and what with one thing and another, didn’t quite get round to having lunch, but never mind. I did pause for a sit down with a refreshing glass of something before heading back to the station for a train back to Newcastle.
