Weight and Stuff Report – 13 July 2013

OK, first things first – that weight figure is another one of those temporary anomaly thingies, caused by being out for a slightly longer walk than might have been a good idea on yet another hot (I think we’ve gone past warm now) sunny day.

After getting a wee bit of shopping done, I decided it was necessary to take myself out for a while. I went into Newcastle and started at the City Keep, where I had a nice wander around and took some photographs from the roof, including a fishy view of the city:

After that, I thought about going somewhere further, but in the end decided to go to the Centre for Life, as I wanted to see their dinosaur exhibition. A hot day seemed the best choice, as there were fewer people there than there might otherwise have been on a Saturday. It’s a pretty good exhibition, with lots of fossils, explanatory texts and, oh, who am I kidding? It’s got really cool animatronic dinosaurs, which is what everyone wants to see. I rather liked this little guy

But of course, the star of the show is everyone’s favourite, Tyrannosaurus Rex:

Good fun all round. Entry to Life is quite expensive, but if you make a point of seeing all that’s on offer, you can get a good day out.
