Stuff Report – 19 July 2013

Today started with a slightly later breakfast, and a general wander around Llangollen, where I got this rather nice view of our hotel:

Then we headed to Llangollen Wharf for our booked trip on the Thomas Telford along the canal and over the magnificent Pontcysyllte Aqueduct, which was designed by the actual Thomas Telford. The view from the aqueduct is quite something:

At the end of the canal trip, we were taken back to Llangollen by bus, in good time to catch the last departure of the day on the Llangollen Railway, which took us through a scenic landscape and back again. Here’s a view of the engine changing ends at the terminus:

After that, it was back to the hotel to chill for a while before dinner and another wee drinkie. Well, for me, anyway. Geoff’s driving tomorrow, so was on the J2O.

Another exciting report will follow tomorrow.
