Up just a wee bit today, but never mind.
After the usual shopping, I went for a quick visit to Durham, where I had some fun with the Fujifilm X-E1. I don’t actually recall noticing this sculpture before, but apparently it’s been there since 2008…
It’s a bronze casting of a wooden sculpture called The Journey by Fenwick Lawson. It shows monks carrying the coffin of St Cuthbert from Lindisfarne to its final resting place in Durham Cathedral. It’s a lovely piece of work, which you can read about here. Or you can take a closer look right here:
I had a moderate walk around Durham before heading back to the station:
