This is not a test

Well, it is, really. It seems the automagic post my posts to Twitter and Facebook thingy appears to have stopped working.

I’ve just reset it, and need to see if this is going to work…

Franz Ferdinand – Stand on the Horizon

I really need to get round to giving the new Franz Ferdinand album Right Thoughts, Right Words, Right Action a more detailed listen so I can post something coherent about it, but I just have to post this interim thingy.

I’d just got off the bus this morning and was making my way down Grey Street when I thought I heard them mention South Shields Metro Station. I initially assumed that this was a delusion brought on by the lurgy, but on checking some lyric sites and listening to the song in question again, it seems I was not deluded at all. This song really does mention not only a Metro Station, but also Marsden Rock. Cool. Here’s a live session version:

This is exactly the kind of track that reminds me why I loved this band when they first appeared.

Weight and Stuff Report – 2 September 2013

Back to work after my lurgied weekend. Still felt a bit rough this morning, but I seem to be better now. Still got the occasional cough, sneeze, etc, but not as much.

With all the lurgy fun, I haven’t had much of a chance to take any photographs, so here’s a quick hand-held experiment.

Guess who?
