Weight and Stuff Report – 16 November 2013

Down another wee bit today, all quite random, I’m sure.

After the usual shopping, I went to Sunderland to see the other half of the photographic exhibition I saw last time I was there. You are the Company in which You Keep[1] is on at the Museum and Winter Gardens until February, so you’ve got plenty of time to find a tuit. The theme is portraits, but not generally conventional ones. Worth a look.

After that, I took a bus along the coast to South Sheilds and a Metro back to Newcastle. I had a quick look round the Christmas market that opened today, but as with all such things, there were too many people for comfort, so I came home.

This is a photo from Sunderland. This bronze walrus lives in the park behind the museum. It seems some of the birds that hang out there don’t like him much…

That’s another unedited photo from the X-E2. Hmmm….

Do not feed the pigeons

I spotted this notice in a Sunderland bus station today. Fair enough, pigeons can be a problem, and if people feed them, they’ll be a bigger problem, so having a notice asking people not to do it isn’t too unreasonable. But a notice that includes a photograph of a notice saying the same thing as the notice seems a bit odd:

So I thought they might want an enhanced version, that really makes it clear

No, really...
