Down again today, as I more or less expected.
I decided to do something slightly different with my Saturday morning shopping trip today. Rather than going direct to Tesco, I first went to the recently opened Frankie & Benny’s in Trinity Square for breakfast. This is a moderately good deal – there’s a nice selection of breakfasts on offer at a fixed price of £5, with unlimited tea or coffee for an additional £1.75.
I had the “triple stack pancakes” – that’s three pancakes (of the thick kind, not the more crepe-like ones), three rashers of bacon and three fried eggs. Very nice indeed. Service was quick and friendly (I do believe there were more staff than customers), and I’ll definitely be going back for more breakfasts. And when the cinema opens, probably some other meals too.
After that, I took myself and the X-E2 out again. This time I did make it to South Shields, where I had a good wander before getting the ferry over to North Shields for a shorter wander and then came home via Newcastle.
Today’s photo is a lion which can be seen outside the museum in South Shields.
