Oooh, what fun! A random upward fluctuation thingy today.

Here’s another coin. This is an early Florin, or two shilling piece from 1849. This was an early attempt at moving the UK to decimal currency, which accounts for the “one tenth of a pound” inscription. It took a little longer for decimalisation to be completed. It was actually done in 1971, when I was a quite young person.[1]
