I had some plans for my first day off, and quite remarkably I managed to carry them out.
First plan was to catch up with bank statements, paperwork and stuff. All done. Then I headed into Gateshead to collect a prescription and have a wee bite to eat before the rest of the day. Well, since I was in the vicinity, another Frankie & Benny’s breakfast seemed like a good idea. A good idea shared by a lot of people, it seems – the place was quite busy, and the staff were all working hard. The food and coffee were well up to standard, of course.
Then I went over to Newcastle and had my hair cut, and wandered around a bit before getting a bus to the MetroCentre for a look around there. That was a lot less busy than I was expecting – lots of people there, but not so crowded as to drive me away. Having bought something, I got a bus back to Newcastle then another bus home.
I’m always on the lookout for interesting things to photograph, and today I saw something that had potential. It’s a 3D puzzle thingy that assembles into a quite attractive T Rex. Assembling it was, err, challenging, partly because working out which bit was meant to go where wasn’t really made easier by the supplied outlines of the parts, and partly because holding together the bits I’d done was a bit awkward when trying to fit the next bit. But I got there in the end, and I’ve taken a few images, of which this one is the most interesting.

Have to keep taking the tablets, you know
 If I didn’t I might get weird
