Weight and Stuff Report – 29 March 2014

Down again today, but that is a post-walkage weight, so a rise tomorrow is quite likely.

The weekend started with an unexpected work-related phone call relating to things being warmer than they should be, which is, for those of you not familiar with racks of expensive computery things, not a Good Thing at all. However, the matter was dealt with by a colleague[1], and my involvement was restricted to a bit of remote monitoring. Everything has now cooled down nicely.

All that excitement did get me out of bed and ready to go out[2], which meant I got my Frankie & Benny’s breakfast[3] and shopping done somewhat earlier than normal, which meant I could go out earlier.

A bit of research told me that the weather was less grey in Carlisle than it was here, so that’s where I went. I had a good look around the castle and a general wander. Photographs were taken, and here’s a sample. This is a detail of the Cursing Stone, which I had a look at on my last visit, which was longer ago than I realised.

There’s a lot more text on the stone, but that pretty much sums it up.

Once I’d had enough wandering, I headed back to the station in plenty of time to get the train home, and just in time to see this before it left:

[2] If there had been major borkage, I’d have been in the office sorting it out
