2014 Round-up

Well, 2014 is just about over, so it’s as good a time as any (well, better than most, really) for the annual summary thingy.

Let’s look at the numbers first, shall we:

January 1: 224 pounds (16 stone, 101.6 kg)
December 31: 216.7 pounds (15 stone 6.7 pounds, 98.3 kg)

That’s an actual drop of 7.3 pounds (3.3kg), which is the best I’ve done since 2011. Still got a long way to go, but I have a Cunning Plan which may help.

I’ve made the lowest number of posts in any full year since the site began. This either means I’ve been too busy to think of things to post, or I’m just running out of steam. Either way, at least readers had a better chance of keeping up with just 484 posts this year

2003: 2 posts
2004: 515 posts
2005: 576 posts
2006: 620 posts
2007: 747 posts
2008: 833 posts
2009: 718 posts
2010: 717 posts
2011: 770 posts
2012: 665 posts
2013: 607 posts
2014: 484 posts

I consolidated my Fujification by replacing two earlier cameras with the excellent X-T1. I started learning to play the guitar, though that’s been a bit neglected over the last couple of months. A further Cunning Plan is in place to get things moving there.

And finally…

Happy New Year to anyone and everyone who reads this stuff.

Comments are much thinner on the metaphorical ground these days, possibly because people prefer to stay on Facebook rather than the rest of the interwebs. Most odd. And I think you’ve just made a start on your 2015 count…

Congratulations on ending the year on the downside, as it were. I confess I find it easier to keep up with FB posts (even mailing lists have taken a back seat). The guitar and Cunning Plan are very interesting! I wouldn’t have figured you for guitar…but I’d certainly like to see a vid of you playing (that is, once you learn something…like Smoke on the Water, which I think is de rigueur for “first song”) Happy New Year, Les angel buttercup! :bouncy:

Now if you’d been keeping up here (what’s wrong with RSS?), you’d have known about the guitar thing. And Smoke on the Water? Seems unlikely….

The new year’s just begun and already you’re fussing at me! I was signed up for email reposts but that got nixed some time back for reasons unknown (I didn’t do it, I swear). I’m signed up again for emails…would RSS be better?

I like RSS, as it lets me catch up with things when I have the time, rather than having messages staring at me in an accusing manner from my email client. And on the odd days when I suffer from Posting Frenzy, the emails might be a bit much…
