This is a rather old smartphone. Well, it’s a phone that can be used to send text messages with attachments. And while the feature seems to have been disabled, the device could be used to download certain in-app purchases. And if it’s not all that smart, it certainly qualifies as a multifunction device. So there.

And for anyone confused by the above, this is a rather rare variant of the usual British payphone kiosk to be found outside Whitley Bay Metro station.
 Or “Letters” as the developers call them
 Anything that will fit into an envelope, anyway

 Apparently they were called “Stamps”. Not quite sure what you’d want them for…
