Ahem. First a quick disclaimer about today’s weight figure: it was recorded after a moderate bit of walking on a warm day, but the same applies to plenty of other day’s results, so I’ll have to count it. I’m sure it’s a temporary wossname, but as it’s the lowest temporary wossname since, wait for it, insert drum roll or other sound effects of your choice, December 2005, it’s a pretty damn good temporary wossname.
About that walk. My plan was to go to the coast and have a bit of a walk around. I ended up having a bit of a different walk than usual. I started in Tynemouth.
Well, I started at home, but I got the bus to town then the Metro to Tynemouth, which is where the walking started. I had a quick look at the market in the Metro station there, but it was so crowded that I was glad to leave. I then headed for the Priory, and rather than do my usual thing of having a wander round there, I carried on around to the Collingwood memorial. And then walked along the riverside path to the North Shields Fish Quay (smells of fish), then carried on to the ferry landing, arriving at the same time as the ferry, so I caught that.
Once in South Shields, I walked along the riverside path, where I had a look at this:
I then walked along a road, round a bend, up a hill and up a bit more until I arrived at the Arbeia Roman fort. I only had a quick look there, as there was some sort of musical event on which meant there were people in the way of where I would have been taking photographs…
And at that point, I thought I’d done enough, so walked to the Metro station and came home.
Twice, as I didn’t believe it the first time
Note: this is a different path, what with it being on the other side of the river and all that
