Holiday Report – 13 June 2015

If you’re reading this on Facebook, make sure to click through, or you might miss some photos.

Today’s activity started at Corwen, a small town we’d previously passed through on the way to or from somewhere else. This time I got to take a few photographs of some lovely old buildings, and my main target, the statue of Owain Glynd?r:

After that, we went to the Bala Lake Railway for a ride behind the Maid Marian

The engine changes ends at each terminus, which let me get this nicely steamy view:

We returned to Llandudno for a wander around the shops. Any suggestion that I bought some chocolates from Maisie’s, who supplied the excellent free chocolates in the S?n y Môr, will be unconvincingly denied.

After a rest at the hotel, we popped out for food at Wetherspoon’s again. Geoff had chilli con carne and Guinness and I had fish and chips with pear cider. All very nice indeed.

And now it’s our last night in Llandudno – off to points west tomorrow!
