We had a relatively relaxed day today – after an excellent breakfast, we headed to Pothmadog for a trip on the Welsh Highland Railway. We arrived in plenty of time, so got to see a Ffestiniog train get ready and depart:
For a while we could see both that train and ours lined up side by side – you’ll notice that the Ffestiniog engine is a much smaller beast that the other:
We set off for Caernarfon at 10:45, passing through scenery such as this:
Not to mention an engine in need of a little work:
And so we reached Caernarfon, where we didn’t do very much other than wait for the train to return through the lovely landscape of Snowdonia:
And if you miss one mountain, there’s sure to be another along soon. Or even mountains hiding behind mountains:
tomorrow’s plans involve another train and me saying that I am not a number….
