Holiday Report – 17 June 2015

After our last breakfast at the Wenallt, it was time to head south. We’d originally planned to visit the Talyllyn Railway, but the train times didn’t quite fit with our estimated time of arrival, so we didn’t. Instead, we took a scenic route via Harlech and its imposing castle:

Ah. Did I mention that the weather changed overnight? After days of either sunshine or at worst cloud, today was damp and misty, with minimal visibility. Anyway, that really is Harlech Castle up there. Somewhere.

From there we went on to Barmouth, where we stopped for a coffee and a look at the lifeboat:
