Down quite noticeably today, but as that’s a “just in from being out on a warm day” figure, it’s probably a temporary wossname.
And about that warm day. I decided to have a look at the NE1 motor show thingy in Newcastle. Grey Street has been closed for the weekend, with assorted cars of varying ages and interest levels arranged on both sides for the public to see. And while I’m not really that into cars, I thought it might offer some photographic interest, so I went along. And so did a lot of other people, which made getting from one end of the street difficult. Getting a clear view of most of the vehicles was hard work, too, as there were so many people in the way. Combine that with being surrounded by far too many people for my personal comfort level, and I soon gave up on the whole thing. I paused for a while in the relative quiet and isolation of Central Arcade before attempting to go anywhere else. I did get a couple of photos though, and thanks to the magic of Lightroom, this one came out quite nicely:

So, having finished with Newcastle, I decided that I’d go to Tynemouth Priory and have a play there. I took the Metro to Cullercoats and walked along the sea front, and then realised that my timing was lousy. The Mouth of the Tyne Festival is on, so the Priory is occupied by a stage thingy and a load of flags, which really put me off.

I’d planned to get the bus back to Newcastle, but they were rerouted to somewhere or other, so I made my way along Fronts Street towards the Metro Station. And that was full of people, stages, noise and crowds, which I was really not in the right frame of mind to cope with. and so I came home and had a relaxed remainder of the afternoon.
