While I thought yesterday’s rise was a bit odd, I’m even more confused by today’s fall. I’m really not convinced that I’m five whole pounds lighter, so I suspect the scale of having one of its little jokes.
Saturday began with the biennial tradition of ordering my mobile phone upgrade. No problems getting the model I wanted, which regular readers will not be surprised to learn is the iPhone 6S. i’ve once again gone for the “silver” model, or “white” as I usually think of it, with the most storage available. I was a bit worried a while back, as Three had changed the deal for new or upgraded contracts. While on my current contract, I can use my phone as a mobile hotspot with no limit on how much of my genuinely unlimited data allowance I could use that way, they’d introduced a cap. This was originally set at a rather tight 2GB. But over the course of this year, they’ve been raising that cap gradually, and it now sits at a “more than I’ve managed to use so far in a month” value of 12GB, so I once again went for the unlimited data option, which also came with unlimited calls and texts. Not that I really need that bit, but that’s just how it works out. That’s due for delivery on the 25th, along with everyone else’s, apart from the people who didn’t get up early enough to order their choice of phone.
As it was a grey, wet day, I decided against any photographic expeditions today, so after ordering my phone, I did the food shopping that I didn’t have the energy for last night, and after that I went into Newcastle to buy the coffee I forgot to get during the week. I had a bit of a wander there, and a bit more of a wander in the MetroCentre before wandering back to Newcastle and possibly buying a new toy. Details of that to follow.
Here’s a view of Berwick Town Hall:
They seem a bit unsure of themselves. That bright “volunteer fair” sign looks like they want people to go in, but they’ve got a fierce defender who’s obviously trying to drive people away.
