Shock horror, down a bit today. And it’ll be a weightless report tomorrow, as I’m in Manchester for some fun weekend work with Aaron. We got to the station in plenty of time to catch the train, only to find that it had decided that it didn’t want to go to Manchester and would stop at York instead. Well, there was some nonsense about a shortage of drivers, but we don’t believe that, do we? So, we got a train to York and then had to wait twenty minutes or so for the next train to Manchester, which was a bit full, and especially full of some loud people a few rows away from me…
So, we got to the office, collected keys and access instructions, started some things, then headed for the hotel, where my loyalty card not only got us free drink vouchers but also nicer rooms complete with Nespresso machines.
And after a short break, we popped next door for a bit of Indian food at Swadesh, which was very nice indeed. The veggie starter platter was nice, the popadoms were good, and my duck jalali was nicely hot. Good stuff.
And today’s photo has nothing to do with any of that:
