Hmmm, randomly down on a very windy day. This part of the country seems to be missing the “better build a boat” rainfall happening elsewhere, but it’s still quite nasty out there.
Being a wee bit weary after the Teesside job, I left the washing and shopping for today, which gave me a perfect reason for a Frankie & Benny’s breakfast, which was very nice indeed.
I made a brief visit to the Metrocentre, where I may have bought an item of clothing. Details may follow. Or not, depending. I went back via Newcastle, where I soon decided that all the shops had too many people in them and got the bus back home. My local bus service normally runs single-decker bridges, so unlike the ones that took me to and from the Metrocenter, the bus home wasn’t diverted away from the Redheugh Bridge. Lovely bridge, just don’t try to use it in high winds. A few gusts as we crossed definitely shifted the bus sideways, which was mildly alarming, and made it quite clear why double-deckers were not going that way.
Talking of the Metrocenter, this is something I bought on a previous visit, but only managed to finish assembling this afternoon:
