Weight and Stuff Report – 16 January 2016

Down a wee bit today…

As it was a nicely dry, if cold, day, I decided to get out and about with the X-T1 today. I was going to head for the coast, but got sidetracked by seeing lots of water pouring down Saltwell View:

A bit damp

A bit damp

Camera: X-T1
Aperture: ƒ/8
Shutter speed: 1/500s
Focal length: 55mm
ISO: 2000
Taken: 16 January, 2016

It seems there was a burst water main, which I’m sure had nothing whatsoever to do with the roadworks going on at the junction with Durham Road.

Having had a look at that, I decided to wander into the park, as I hadn’t been for ages. Various acts of photography were committed, but for now here’s one I rather like:

Squiggle!

Squiggle!

Camera: X-T1
Aperture: ƒ/8
Shutter speed: 1/480s
Focal length: 196mm
ISO: 6400
Taken: 16 January, 2016

This was a good case of my 50-140mm lens coming in handy – I was able to get some nice images of squirrels without scaring them.

More soon….
