Down again today, according to the RNG. Today’s report comes to you from a hotel in Birmingham, of all places. I travelled down this afternoon for some business stuff tomorrow in Solihull, which is not far from here by train.
I picked the hotel (the Ibis, as it happens) on the grounds of being close to the station where I arrived and also close to the one I’ll be using in the morning. It turned out to be a good choice, as just around the corner is a sort of courtyard place with a selection of restaurants, including the ever-popular (with me, at least) Las Iguanas. So that’s where I went. I was a good boy, only having one beer and two courses (nachos and a chicken enchilada), which were well up to the usual standard. Service was quick, too!
Today’s photo is a test shot with a new toy which I might talk about when I get a chance to play with it properly. The subject is traditional for this kind of thing, of course
