Yes, it’s a weightless report today, as I didn’t bring the scale with me for some odd reason.
After a moderately nice breakfast at the Birmingham Ibis, I walked to Moor Street Station, which involved some of the uphill bits that make my troublesome heel even more annoying. I then squeezed on to a busy train and got off at Solihull, where I had a moderately painful walk to our latest office. Meetings and discussions were had, and I left at a little after 1pm, had another ouch walk back to the station, waited about ten minutes for the next train to Birmingham, then had another short walk to New Street station, where I had a wait of about 20 minutes. In a shocking development, I didn’t go home, but got off the train at Leeds, spent about an hour and a half in the office, then headed for the Novotel.
After relaxing for a bit, I decided not to annoy my heel any more than necessary, and ate in the hotel restaurant. I started with three mini Yorkshire puddings stuffed with pulled pork in a very tangy sauce. That was followed by a mushroom omelette served with chips and a salad. There may have been a glass or two of wine along with that.
Back to Leeds office in the morning for more stuff.
Today’s photo is another one of activity on the Tyne:
Apparently they’re not always that busy, but there were problems with the mainline services to London so a load of people were on the one I caught instead of the bigger and more comfortable one they were expecting
