Down again today, still quite random, I’m sure…
I took myself out for a return visit to Alnwick today. It was a bit of a grey day, and it was just stating to rain as I went out, but I decided to go anyway (worst case, I’d have a bus ride with some scenery and do a bit of reading).
I got off a bit earlier to pay a visit to Barter Books – this is a quite impressive second-hand bookshop in the old station. Lots to see, but I managed not to buy anything this time. Maybe on another visit (possibly not on a Saturday, as the place was busy…).
I then wandered over the road and got some photographs of the Tenantry Column, otherwise known as the Lion Column. More on that later, but for now, here’s one of its lions:

Is it me, or does it look like it’s worried about something?
