I started the day with breakfast at Frankie & Benny’s before doing the usual shopping. The breakfast seemed like a sensible preparation for this afternoon’s activity: a Laithwaite’s Wine Tasting at the Copthorne Hotel in Newcastle.

I got into town early, and had a bit of a wander with the X70, in its current (temporary) role as my sole camera. And you know, if you can live with the screen being occasionally hard to see in bright sunlight (of which there was lots), it’s a really nice little camera. That wide field of view is good for things like this:
