Down another wee bit today…
And here we go with another bout of Les-style wittering, this time set off by a message from the dark side, or Microsoft, as they prefer to be known. May contain nuts. Definitely contains footnotes.
After yesterday’s protracted nostalgiafest, here’s something a bit more up to date
This is a friendly Microsoft message which is being very helpful. Apparently there’s a problem signing in, to which the solution is apparently to sign out, which seems a little paradoxical to me. I mean if you’re not in, surely you’re already out, or is this some new third state of logginess, where you’re neither in nor out. Perhaps this will lead to a revision of the usual IT advice, so we’ll be asking people if they’ve tried switching it off and off again. Or something.
You know, it’s quite clear that the current lack of photography is making me type more nonsense. I really need to get out and point a camera at some things, if only to save wear on my keyboard and my readers’ sanity.
Is that a word? Well, it is now, so there
And my many years of professional experience tell me that when Microsoft are being helpful, the best thing to do is switch everything off and go and live in a cave until they stop it
OK, that probably isn’t a word either, but I’m going to run with it anyway, what with “bitness” apparently being fine to use when referring to the distinction between 32-bit and 64-bit systems
Making the possibly unwarranted assumption that anyone who sticks around to read this stuff has any sanity remaining to them
 Especially the footnotes
