Weight and Stuff Report – 5 August 2017

Weight: 235.4 pounds (16 stone 11.4 pounds, 106.8 kg)
Steps: 12,849

Down again today, and that’s my biggest step count for a while…

I did the usual shopping a bit early again. So early, in fact, that the buses hadn’t settled down into their full daily frequency, which meant that I’d have had to wait for a quarter of an hour. And in a shocking development, I decided to walk instead, which got me there a little bit quicker.

After that, it was time for another day out – and this time it was to Redcar, a place I’ve only ever passed through previously. It turned out to be a pleasant seaside town, with lots of public art, a museum with a very old lifeboat and to my surprise and delight, a photographic exhibition of works by Tony Ray-Jones and Martin Parr, which was quite wonderful. It’s a touring exhibition which has been on its way around parts of the country for the last few years – details here.

I’ll post some photographs of my own over the next few days, starting with this, which isn’t the kind of thing you see at the end of most beaches…
