November 2017 Round-up

November is sliding away (slipped on the snow, poor thing), so it must be time for this old thing

Weight

More of those random wossnames:

November 1: 230.5 pounds (16 stone 6.5 pounds, 104.6 kg)
November 30: 231.5 pounds (16 stone 7.5 pounds, 105 kg)

That’s an annoying rise of 1 pound (0.5kg).

Eating

It has been known

Exercise

A few moderate bits of walking

Posting

A quite calm 37 posts

Stuff

Stuff will follow, depending on tuit supplies.

Weight and Stuff Report – 30 November 2017

Weight: 231.5 pounds (16 stone 7.5 pounds, 105 kg)
Steps: 3,669

No change today. I’ll blame the snow for that.

Coming soon: new toy reports, but for now here are a couple of photos from Redcar. This is the Beacon:

That building sticking out over the beach is a cinema now, but originally it was the start of a pier, long since lost…

Back up a wee bit today…

Redcar has penguins. This is obviously a Good Thing, because everything is better with penguins, right?

Down again after yesterday’s odd increase.

Having got my shopping done extra-early, I was out before 10am with a plan. I decided it was time for a return to Redcar, partly for the fresh[1] air, and partly to give the X70 an outing. I managed to get a seat on a crowded train as far as Darlington[2], then had a wait for the deluxe cattle truck to Redcar, passing through Middlesbrough. Once at Redcar, I walked down to the sea front and had a nice wander. Here’s the view out to sea, with a rare appearance of me. Well, my shadow, anyway.

This time, the lift in the Beacon was working, so I was able to go up and enjoy the view and even fresher[3] air. Then I walked a bit further, and started to wonder why there seemed to be so many people loitering. They couldn’t all be waiting for a bus, so I guessed something must be happening, and indeed it was. I was just in time to see a parade of biker Santas. Or was it Santa bikers? Either way, there were loads of them, including this slightly unusual vehicle:

OK.....

OK…..

Nothing was going to top that, so I decided to call it a day and got the next train back to Darlington, which arrived just in time for me to get on a train to Newcastle.

[1] Cold.
[2] Fortunately, long experience has taught me where to get on a Cross Country train to have the best chance of blagging an unreserved seat
[3] Colder.

Hmmm, up again today. Mutter.

Here’s the last of my previously uploaded but not posted photos, which means I need to get out and take some more.
