Down again today…
Having got the shopping over and done with even earlier this week, I headed out to Hartlepool for a return visit. I had a nice walk around the marina – it was bright and sunny, not particularly windy, and cold enough that I was glad I’d worn my big coat. At the end of the walk, I visited the National Museum of the Royal Navy, as the historic dockyard attraction is now known. I had the guided tour of HMS Trincomalee, saw a display of muskets (no firing action, apparently they do that sometimes), and a good look around. After all that, I was a bit tired, so headed for the station in time to miss a train. I had a short walk, then decided I had in fact walked enough, and sat in the waiting room with my Kindle until it was time for the next train.
Here’s a view out to see from the lock gates that keep a constant water level in the marina. If your screen is big enough, you should see some wind turbines
